Vale posee y opera un sitio minero en el norte de Ontario, Canad\u00e1. A trav\u00e9s de sus actividades de miner\u00eda y refinaci\u00f3n, producen un subproducto de desecho en forma de lodo. Los clientes necesitaban una soluci\u00f3n eficiente de excavaci\u00f3n y transporte para llevar este lodo a su vertedero fuera del sitio.<\/p>\n

Durante el proceso de licitaci\u00f3n, se contrat\u00f3 a MetaFLO para que determinara la mezcla y la dosis \u00f3ptimas con el fin de cumplir los criterios de contenido en s\u00f3lidos exigidos para la excavaci\u00f3n y el transporte de los lodos. A partir de datos anal\u00edticos, MetaFLO estim\u00f3 una dosis de 1,11 TP3T en peso (bas\u00e1ndose en un alto contenido de humedad). Se recomend\u00f3 el uso de grandes dep\u00f3sitos de mezcla para aumentar la superficie de contacto y la eficiencia durante el proceso de mezcla con cuchara. En ese momento no se dispon\u00eda de ninguna muestra.<\/p>\n

<\/i> Resultado<\/h3>\n

Tervita Corporation utiliz\u00f3 el reactivo MetaFLO para solidificar aproximadamente 4,000 m3 de lodo. Se dispusieron en el sitio dos contenedores de 35 m3 que se cargaron con una mezcla de lodos \u201cm\u00e1s pesados\u201d y \u201cm\u00e1s ligeros\u201d. La tasa de dosificaci\u00f3n estimada originalmente fue precisa, ya que el tratamiento real promedi\u00f3 aproximadamente 30 libras de reactivo MetaFLO MF006 por m3 de lodo.
