Issue at a Glance
Effective dust suppression is becoming mandatory as numerous health and environmental concerns associated with excessive airborne particulate matter are being raised regarding air quality on construction sites, and in mining, tunneling etc.
Dust harms the environment, compromises human health, negatively affects communities and reduces overall business productivity.
Currently, traditional methods for dust suppression demand large amounts of water spraying, which requires high fuel consumption and emits significant quantities of polluting gases.
Overview of MetaFLO's product
DusTech is a dust-suppressing biopolymer designed for easy application. It can be used effectively on a variety of dirt roads, including mine access roads, exploration roads, construction sites, municipal roads and roads in indigenous villages. It can also be applied to sand dunes and material stockpiles to reduce dust and control erosion caused by wind.
When applied, DusTech improves particle agglutination, seals the molecular matrix and improves air quality.
DusTech requires less water spraying compared to conventional methods, and with each re-application, smaller doses of the biopolymer are required to ensure surface stability.
HOW IT WORKS
Using a dosage of 2-3%, DusTech is applied directly into the water tank so it can be sprayed out into areas with fine dust particles. It can be used effectively on any type of soil, such as clayey, silt, sandy, etc.
In addition to dust control for roadways, DusTech can also be used in material storage yards to ensure that your material stays put and does not disrupt the surrounding environment or communities.
BENEFITS
Time-Efficiency
Fewer applications compared to standard alternatives.
Improved Health and Safety
Effective dust suppression capabilities, enhancing road safety, increasing traffic visibility and improving the air quality for employees, the environment and the surrounding communities.
Cost-Efficiency
Reduced operational costs compared to traditional methods like watering programs.
