Lubrificantes de perfura\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 base de bentonita, espumas lubrificantes e outros aditivos s\u00e3o usados para manter a press\u00e3o sobre o excesso de carga e reduzir o atrito nas grandes cabe\u00e7as de corte rotativas localizadas na frente das m\u00e1quinas de perfura\u00e7\u00e3o de t\u00faneis.<\/p>\r\n<p>A quantidade de lubrificante usada depende da geologia que est\u00e1 sendo atravessada pelo t\u00fanel. O lubrificante tamb\u00e9m facilita o transporte dos detritos gerados para a parte traseira da m\u00e1quina de perfura\u00e7\u00e3o de t\u00faneis, onde s\u00e3o transportados por um sistema de esteira ou carro de lama at\u00e9 a superf\u00edcie. Quando esses res\u00edduos chegam \u00e0 superf\u00edcie, eles t\u00eam a consist\u00eancia de lama, que geralmente \u00e9 dif\u00edcil e cara de ser descartada.<\/p>\r\n<p>O processo de elimina\u00e7\u00e3o de sujeira geralmente \u00e9 parecido com este:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Caminh\u00f5es a v\u00e1cuo especializados transportam a sujeira para uma esta\u00e7\u00e3o de transfer\u00eancia<\/li>\r\n<li>Agentes de volume, como serragem, s\u00e3o usados (geralmente aumentando o volume da pasta em 50-200%)<\/li>\r\n<li>Caminh\u00f5es basculantes transportam o aumento da carga de res\u00edduos para um local de descarte final<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>Isso significa mais caminh\u00f5es necess\u00e1rios, mais tempo desperdi\u00e7ado, mais emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa e mais custos de descarte incorridos.
